A new racing sim – with officially-licensed cars – is coming to WAX!
Today, AtomicHub, the world’s busiest web3 marketplace, has announced a partnership with upcoming racing simulation game Apex Kings – developed by Supremacy Games – to hold their inaugural pack drop, their Series 1 Ignition Packs, on the AtomicHub Launchpad on April 19th.
Each Ignition Pack will contain a selection of NFT cars, each officially-licensed from one of six real-world manufacturers – Citroën, Rover, MG, Austin-Healey, Saleen and Opel – which can be used to compete against other players in strategic races for NFT and $VOIMA token rewards.
What is Apex Kings?
Apex Kings is an upcoming racing simulation title, where players will need to use their strategic nous to manage officially-licensed NFT cars and drivers to best their opponents on track. Victors will be rewarded with NFTs and $VOIMA tokens, used to purchase additional cars, packs, drivers and more.
The Apex Kings Series 1 Ignition Packs will drop on April 19, 18:00 UTC via the AtomicHub Launchpad. Each Ignition Pack will cost $29.99, payable via both credit/debit card and $WAXP, and will contain three officially-licensed NFT cars in a variety of rarities.
The game – which has been covered on BBC’s Top Gear – is set to enter beta in summer 2023.
Further information on Apex Kings, including gameplay footage, as well as additional details regarding the Series 1 pack drop will be made available over the coming weeks.
Jona Wilmsmann, Co-Founder of AtomicHub, said:
“As a racing enthusiast myself, we’re excited to be partnering with Apex Kings to bring a range of NFT cars from officially-licensed manufacturers into web3. Their upcoming game, where players will be able to use these branded cars to race against one another, will bring authenticity and a fresh gaming experience to both WAX, and web3 as a whole.”
Jari Pauna, CEO at Supremacy Games, added:
“We’re excited to announce the first drop of Apex Kings NFT Racing cars. These Ignition packs contain 3 officially-licensed cars, ahead of the game’s public launch later this year. AtomicHub’s Launchpad is the perfect platform for us to hold this inaugural pack drop, with these packs containing a high number of Legendary, Epic and Rare cars.”
