The Arcas Bastonium Crystal NFT free mint begins February 28th at 12:00 UTC+0 on Soneium, Sony’s Ethereum Layer 2.
Each of the 1,500 NFTs will grant holders an exclusive in-game utility within Arcas Champions; a play-to-earn, web3, competitive third person shooter game developed by Arcas Games.
Details on the utility of Arcas Bastonium Crystals and the marketplace for the mint are expected to be announced imminently via Arcas Games’ account on X.
What are Arcas Bastonium Crystal NFTs?
The 1,500 Arcas Bastonium Crystal NFTs up for grabs come in three rarities: Common (1,000), Uncommon (400) and Rare (100). The developers have teased that these precious Crystals will be”the hidden source of power” for the Apes living on planet Arcas in the Arcas Champions universe.
Though the exact utility of Arcas Bastonium Crystals is being kept secret, the developers have hinted that these NFTs will allow holders to craft “objects of unimaginable power” and dominate the jungle planet with a range of exclusive in-game benefits,
The developers have also suggested that the collection of these NFTs may become deflationary as the project evolves. More details on their exact use and future benefits are expected to be unveiled post-mint.
How to participate in the mint
The mint begins February 28th at 12:00 UTC+0 and will consist of two phases; a 12-hour whitelist phase, followed by a 12-hour public phase.
To get whitelisted, you must hold 5,000 $ARCAS tokens on either Ethereum, Soneium or the BNB Chain, or own at least 5 Gamester Apes NFTs. To check participants’ eligibility, a wallet snapshot will be taken at an undisclosed time 24 hours before the mint (so from February 27th, 12:00 UTC+0 onwards).
After the whitelist phase, the 12 hour public phase will begin, allowing anyone to mint the remaining NFTs, with a limit of 2 per wallet. The mint itself is free but gas fees (estimated at $0.01-$0.02 worth of ETH) must be covered.
