Atari is marking its next move into the blockchain and web3 space with the release of 500 limited-edition collectible patch packs.
The company has partnered with web3 marketplace DYLI to sell these packs, which will include both new and vintage Atari patches. Each pack will be tied to an NFT to ensure authenticity, allowing collectors a new way to interact with the iconic brand.
The launch, which is set for next week, will also feature rare items, including a special patch signed by Atari’s founder, Nolan Bushnell.
What is DYLI?
DYLI (Do You Like It?) is a new blockchain-powered marketplace designed to offer both physical and digital collectibles.
The platform is built on Abstract Chain, an Ethereum layer-2 scaling network, and focuses on providing a way for users to verify the authenticity of collectible items. By integrating blockchain technology, DYLI aims to make it easier for collectors to trust the provenance of the items they purchase.
Additionally, DYLI supports a secondary marketplace where users can trade items, both physical and digital, using NFTs. The platform also offers an integrated wallet to facilitate transactions, and it covers gas fees to make purchasing more straightforward for buyers.
How much will each pack cost and what will they contain?
Each Atari patch pack will be priced at $15. Whilst the base price remains the same for all packs, some may contain bonus items, such as stickers and gift cards, adding extra value for collectors.
The limited-edition Atari patch packs will feature a mix of newly designed patches and vintage designs from the 1980s, celebrating Atari’s legacy in the gaming world. Each pack will include one of seven new Atari patches or two retro designs.
In addition to the patches, some packs will contain bonus items, including stickers and gift cards. One especially rare pack will contain a sticker signed by Atari founder Nolan Bushnell making it a sought-after collectible for fans.
