Popular web3 title Axie Infinity has announced that its latest in-game event, titled Wings of Nightmare, will debut on November 21.
The event will see players become eligible to evolve select Axie parts from Stage 1 into Stage 2 Nightmare Parts – with a slim chance for Axie’s to be converted into Nightmare Bodies.
Axie’s with Nightmare parts will gain a range of powerful in-game benefits, including Fortune Slip generation, access to Nightmare Chests, the ability to be turned into NFT collectibles, and more.
How do I obtain Nightmare Parts and Nightmare Bodies?
Players will need three components to acquire Nightmare Parts:
- An Axie with eligible parts
- A sufficient amount of $AXS tokens
- A sufficient amount of Mementos
Should the player have all three, they will have the ability to evolve their Axie for a chance to receive a Nightmare Part.
Once a player has a Nightmare Part, they can choose to devolve the part for a chance to receive a Nightmare Body. This requires the player to spend Dark Flames, which can be crafted using the Axie Forge or purchased on secondary marketplaces.
There’s a 5% chance to receive a Nightmare Body by devolving an Axie, with only 1,500 total Nightmare Bodies available.
What else is involved in the Wings of Nightmare event?
Alongside the ability to earn Nightmare Parts and Nightmare Bodies, the Wings of Nightmare event has a range of other activities.
The Sky Mavis team will be holding a giveaway for a Mystic Axie, as well as distributing 10 Origin Axie’s and 2,500 Regular Axie’s to players. Alongside this, 3,000 $AXS and 6 ETH will be up for grabs, as well as a host of in-game premium items.
