Web3 gaming blockchain Immutable has announced that Baby Shark Universe is launching exclusively on the Polygon-powered Immutable zkEVM.
Developed by a team with more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, including with hit titles like Kart Rider, Bubble Fighter and CrossFire – combining to over 10M downloads – the game features an eye-catching “Animal Crossing meets Stardew Valley meets Pokemon” aesthetic and playstyle
The game sees official use of Pinkfong’s Baby Shark character, with the ever-catchy piece still the most viewed song in YouTube history, with 14 billion views so far.

What is Baby Shark Universe?
Baby Shark Universe is a 16-bit open-world title based around the popular Baby Shark character.
Available on iOS and Android, players explore a sizeable open world and complete quests to earn a variety of rewards, including items, NFTs and wearable – many of which are minted on-chain and can be enhanced with $BSU tokens.
The game mixes aesthetics and playstyles from numerous popular titles, including Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley and Pokemon, with 3D open-world exploration intersected with 2D platforming minigames.
What will Immutable’s zkEVM do for Baby Shark Universe?
According to the Baby Shark Universe team via a Medium post, the Immutable zkEVM integration will allow them to offer; “diverse user experiences such as NFT airdrops and web3 game services.”
This will include the integration of Immutable‘s in-house account solution, the Immutable Passport, in Q3 2024, giving non web3-native users a way to access the title’s blockchain features in a simple & straightforward way.
