ChronoForge To Migrate From Immutable To Abstract

Web3 action RPG ChronoForge has announced an impending migration from Immutable to Abstract, with full details to be revealed in the coming days.

This switch will also see the game’s current governance token $RIFT be replaced with an all-new token, titled $CHRONO. $CHRONO will be used to turn in-game items into NFTs, upgrade items, and take part in both governance and voting mechanisms.

Abstract is set to hold its mainnet launch in January 2025, and has been drawing attention from all corners of the blockchain industry – with other upcoming games, such as 77-Bit, set to launch on Abstract soon.

What is ChronoForge?

ChronoForge is a Web3-enabled multiplayer action RPG, soon to be built on Abstract, and available on PC via the Epic Games Store.

Developed by Minted Loot Studios, players select from one of 12 combat classes and join their comrades to take on a wide variety of exotic enemies through time – from ancient dinosaurs to hostile space raiders. By completing dungeons and open-world events in your Trading Company, players upgrade their flying fortresses, level-up their gear, and engage in votes – choosing to attack rival companies, ban tech, or activate the ChronoForge.

The game is currently pre-release, with prospective players encouraged to whitelist the game on the Epic Games Store.

What is $CHRONO?

$CHRONO is the impending new governance token for ChronoForge, set to replace the existing $RIFT token.

The new $CHRONO token will serve as the backbone of the ChronoForge ecosystem. Players will be able to use $CHRONO in a wide variety of ways:

Full details on the $CHRONO token are set to be revealed soon, though it has already been confirmed that Minted Loot Studios are taking a long-term approach to the tokenomics. All $CHRONO used in minting and merging NFTs is set to be locked in an ecosystem wallet for at least 5 years, driving scarcity of $CHRONO over time.
