Starting tomorrow, popular crypto influencer Anyobservation is holding a community tournament in The Forge Arena – an ambitious competitive play-to-earn arena shooter – with over $5,000 in prizes up for grabs.The Forge Arena is aiming to be the first true Web3 esport.
Fans of WAX will be well aware of Anyo, who has been active in the WAX community for over two years. With his popular interviews, first looks and a range of other insightful content, he’s become one of the go-to minds in the space.
First created back in 2018, The Forge Arena is aiming to become the premier competitive FPS of the Web3 space. Developed by GEN-E Studios, and headed by Artur “m1nac” Minacov, the game has quickly found a dedicated fanbase, with players keen to experience FPS gameplay on the blockchain.
So, how will the tournament work?A raft of sponsors have contributed to the prize pool.
- Starts April 29th, 17 UTC
- 32 teams of 3 players each (both individual and team entries welcome)
- Random map selection, first to 10 rounds
- Bracket format, best-of-1 matches with a best-of-3 final
The top 20 teams will each receive a WAX prize, with a $5,000 minimum prize pool split across the Top 3 teams! In addition, every participant will receive at least 1 NFT!
