Upcoming Web3 RPG Arise has announced that its first closed alpha test will take place from May 28 to June 2 on PC, with players able to experience the game for the first time.
Accessible only to holders of Cross The Ages Mint Pass NFTs, the test will see one dungeon, one hero and one weapon become available to players. Participants will get a small taste of the game’s combat system, earning crystals and keys to grow your power and obtain stronger weapons.
Players that are able to reach Level 10 by the end of the closed alpha test will earn a Founder’s Coin – a unique currency which can be spent on exclusive rewards in the future early access release.

What is Arise?
Arise is an upcoming Web3 RPG, with the closed alpha build available solely on PC.
Developed by the team behind popular blockchain-based trading card game Cross The Ages, Arise is set to offer players with a rogue-like RPG experience. Players dive into dungeons, defeat waves of enemies, and score valuable loot – enabling the crafting of more powerful weapons that will improve your next dungeon run.
As of writing, little is known about the prospective blockchain-based features of Arise – such as NFTs or token rewards. Given that Arise is a product of the Cross The Ages team, we can expect some support for the $CTA token, as well as an NFT system to underpin in-game assets – though that is mere speculation thus far.
How can I take part in the Closed Alpha?
Access to the first Arise closed alpha test is limited solely to holders of Cross The Ages Mint Pass NFTs. These NFTs – available in six tiers – allow holders to lock their $CTA tokens to gain a range of perks and benefits, including reduced fees, land access, passive GP generation and much more.
As of writing, the lowest cost Mint Pass available on the Cross The Ages Portal marketplace is the Red Mint Pass, priced at 40.24 $USDC.
Holders must ensure that they have linked their email address and wallet to their account on the Cross The Ages website. A snapshot will be taken on May 26 at 8 UTC, with eligible users to be sent an access link to download the game via the Epic Games Store.
The developers have informed players that, due to this closed alpha test being an in-development version of the game, performance issues are to be expected. For optimal results, an RTX 3070 graphics card and 32 GB of RAM should allow for stable performance on “High” graphics settings.
