Cyber Fighters, a popular side-scrolling action game boasting over 8 million players, is gearing up for its transition to web3 via the Immutable zkEVM network.
In anticipation of this shift, the game has launched a Play-to-Airdrop campaign, giving players the chance to earn points for future airdrop rewards.
The integration with Immutable ($IMX) zkEVM is designed to provide a smooth transition for existing players as they move to the web3 version of the game.
What is Cyber Fighters?
Cyber Fighters is a free-to-play side-scrolling game that combines elements of action, RPG, and fighting genres. Set in a dystopian Detroit after World War 3, the game allows players to choose from six unique Hero classes, each with distinct skills and combat styles, such as the Cyber Officer Swordsman, The Punisher of God Thunder, and The Queen Bee Archer Assassins.
Players start with a default Hero and can unlock more powerful Hero NFTs by purchasing and opening Box NFTs in the in-game marketplace.
The game offers various combat modes and a detailed skill system where players gather resources to unlock and enhance abilities. Heroes can be accompanied by Pets that aid in battle, although their attributes are fixed. Additionally, players can craft and upgrade equipment to enhance their Hero’s capabilities.
Originally a web2 game, Cyber Fighters is now evolving into a web3 experience, incorporating blockchain technology to boost transparency and stability within the game’s economy. It is available on both iOS and Android devices and follows a free-to-play model.
How to participate in the play-to-airdrop campaign?
The full web3 version of Cyber Fighters hasn’t launched yet, however, players can start earning airdrop points by playing the current version. By activating the in-game web3 button, players can generate a digital wallet.
Points are accumulated by gathering specific in-game items, completing daily tasks, and referring friends. These points are ranked on a leaderboard, with the top 500 players expected to receive rewards once the campaign ends.
Whilst the official web3 launch date and details regarding the distribution of airdrop rewards are still under wraps, more information is anticipated to be disclosed in the future.
