Yuga Labs, creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, launch their highly anticipated infinite runner NFT game Dookey Dash: Unclogged today, September 19th.
Yuga Labs has partnered with web3 game studio Faraway to launch Dookey Dash: Unclogged. This is a sequel to the original Dookey Dash game that launched last year and led to Fortnite YouTuber Kyle Jackson, aka Mongraal, winning the competition and taking home $1.63 mill worth of Ethereum.
The latest iteration of the game that launches today offers a $1 million prize pool and, unlike the original, does not require players to hold a Bored Ape Yacht Club or Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT to access.
Yuga Labs is inviting everyone to “Play Stupid Game, Win Stupid Prizes” – these include in-game items like boosts and rare skins, plus the coveted golden plunger. This is essentially an invitation to the seasonal Esports tournaments where players compete to earn a share of the prize pool and other exclusive rewards.
What is Dookey Dash: Unclogged?
Developed by Faraway and powered by Apechain, Dookey Dash: Unclogged is an infinite runner NFT game that features a similar style of gameplay to web2 classics Subway Surfer and Temple Run.
Available to play for free on iOS and Android devices, Dookey Dash: Unclogged is a relatively straightforward game; players must guide their characters through a dynamic sewer map that gets more challenging the further they go.
At the start of the game players must select their diver and vehicle, which they can customise and upgrade as they progress, before diving into the endless sewer.
