What is EVE Frontier?
EVE Frontier is an upcoming hardcore sci-fi space survival MMO blockchain game, built with Ethereum, and available on PC.
Developed by CCP Games, developers of hit MMO EVE Online – which debuted in 2003 – EVE Frontier is heralded as the next-generation of the studio’s flagship title. Players embark on a journey across the stars, manning a ship to visit planets, collect resources, and increase their influence. The game is highly-complex – like its predecessor – with in-depth design, trading and combat elements that make it an experience like no other.
EVE Frontier is being built with all-new infrastructure to bring’s the popular MMO into the modern age. This includes the incorporation of the Ethereum blockchain to help track and power many of the game’s most complex systems, leveraging Web3 technology to amplify the game’s technical capabilities.
How can I play the EVE Frontier Remnant Access closed alpha?
Players can sign-up for Remnant Access through a recent tweet posted by the team.
To join the Remnant Access test, players must sign an NDA preventing them from revealing any details about the content of the game thus far to the public – though there is the option to chat about the game with other Remnant Access players in the game’s official Discord server.
EVE Frontier was first made available in December 2024 during the Founder Access period, with following playtests rewarding participants with Founders Packs – though this will not be the case with this Remnant Access test.
A number of updates have recently arrived in EVE Frontier. This includes a major engine update, which should result in performance improvements across the board, and better tooling to double-down on future development pathways.
