Social party game Forgotten Playland has introduced NFTs and several new features as part of its latest update, marking its formal integration with blockchain infrastructure and making a wide range of its in-game assets tradeable.
The update introduces two types of NFTs—cosmetic items and limited-edition bundles—alongside a points-based reward campaign. Developers have also added a battle pass, seasonal content, and new language support.
Built on Beam, a Layer 1 blockchain powered by Avalanche, the game now places greater emphasis on user participation and item management through blockchain technology.

What is Forgotten Playland?
Forgotten Playland is a free-to-play multiplayer game set in a world populated by abandoned plush toys.
Designed as a social party game, it includes various mini-games and challenges intended for group play. The game is developed by Vermillion, a joint initiative by Duckland Games and the Beam Foundation.
The game operates on Beam, a blockchain network built on Avalanche infrastructure. With this update, Forgotten Playland becomes one of the more visible titles on the network to incorporate NFT mechanics directly into gameplay.

How are NFTs used in the game?
Following the update, in-game assets can now be tokenised and traded using blockchain. Cosmetic items—such as skins, emotes, and character traits—can be earned through gameplay, acquired via a new battle pass, or found in “toyboxes,” which are limited-issue bundles released periodically.
These NFTs allow players to store, sell, or exchange digital assets outside of the traditional game environment. According to the developers, the goal is to give users more control over what they earn or purchase within the game.
A parallel initiative, the FLUFFY campaign, rewards players with points based on their activity, cosmetic ownership, and quest completion. These points may later be tied to other rewards, though the system is still being developed.

What’s next for Forgotten Playland?
Developers say more content is on the way with two new mini-games scheduled for release within the next two weeks, expanding the game’s party-style offering.
A larger feature, known as Plushkyn Battle, is also in development, though further details have not been made public.
The game’s development team says it plans to continue expanding both its gameplay options and blockchain-based features. The long-term focus appears to be on providing more structured systems around item ownership, rewards, and gameplay incentives—all using Beam’s blockchain infrastructure.
