The stress test event for the web3 MMORPG Forgotten Runiverse is set to conclude tomorrow, January 17.
The event, titled “Crash the Runiverse,” invites players to engage with the game’s browser-based world to evaluate its server capacity.
The test is designed to identify potential weaknesses in the system before the game’s Global Early Access release later this year.

What is Crash the Runiverse?
“Crash the Runiverse” is a stress test aimed at evaluating the technical capacity of Forgotten Runiverse’ servers under high demand.
The event invites players to engage in various in-game activities whilst simultaneously pushing the game’s infrastructure to its limits with the goal of simulating extreme conditions that may occur post-launch and ensure the system can handle them effectively.
The test features structured gameplay, including dungeon runs, character upgrades, and interactions with in-game systems such as the Omen difficulty modifier.
Players were provided with resources like essential spells and equipment to quickly prepare for the challenges ahead whilst developers monitor server performance and logged player feedback throughout the event.

What are the benefits to participating in the event?
Participants of the event will not only contribute to Forgotten Runiverse’ development but also gains access to exclusive rewards including a share of the 21 Trillion Quanta Airdrop—an in-game currency that will later be redeemable for $XP. Participants in previous events, such as “Eve of Memory” and “New Foundations,” are also eligible for this airdrop.
Additionally, players have the chance to earn limited-edition cosmetic items and in-game land through the Gacha system. Whilst this iteration of Gacha does not include a “hard pity” feature, this offers opportunities for dedicated participants.
By testing features like the Omen system, which allows players to adjust dungeon difficulty for increased rewards, participants can also engage in meaningful gameplay. Developers recommended forming parties of four to tackle dungeons, ensuring a balanced experience whilst collecting valuable data on system performance.
