As Fortnite’s latest crypto-themed season pushes ahead, recent social media posts have caused $DB – an unconnected Solana memecoin – to rise in value.
Dill Bits are a currency within Fortnite that, in storyline, is a fictional cryptocurrency pushed by the character Big Dill. An opportunist crypto trader created $DB via Pump.fun to capitalise on this story in one of the world’s most popular video games – and recent social media posts have pushed $DB to a high of $4.75 million USD.
The token has declined since this peak, but as of writing, it still sits at a market cap of $1.6 million USD – demonstrating the continued interest in the Fortnite storyline, and the coin itself.

What is Solana’s $DB token?
$DB is a Solana-based memecoin, created on Pump.fun in mid-February 2025.
After ‘graduating’ via Raydium on February 2021, $DB hit a peak of over $4.75 million USD, before quickly declining as speculators made their money and dumped the token.
All seemed to be over for the coin – until social media posts on March 8 heralded a huge spike in the token, rising from a market cap of just over $100,000 USD back up to $4.75 million USD once again. As of writing, the token now sits at a market cap of $1.6 million USD.
Though $DB is not an official token of Fortnite or the Epic Games team, CEO Tim Sweeney has openly expressed his admiration for blockchain technology in the past. Despite Fortnite itself not having any blockchain elements so far, the Epic Games Store does permit Web3 games – in contrast to its biggest competitor in Steam.
