Free-to-play web3 sci-fi strategy game GalFi has launched its new GalFi Discord RPG, allowing players to earn the $GALFI token before the main game’s release.
This follows the success of their Telegram-based tap-to-earn title, GalFi Telegram Tapper. In this new Discord RPG, players can gather resources, upgrade planets, and unlock opportunities to earn the soon-to-launch $GALFI token.
This mini-game intends to teach players the core mechanics of the full GalFi game whilst offering them token rewards, including $GALFI. Progress in the Discord RPG will transfer to the main game, ensuring player efforts hold long-term value.
What is GalFi?
GalFi, short for Galactic Finance, is a 4X play-to-earn game that merges economic simulation within a sci-fi universe. By diving into combat, mining, exploration, and base-building, players can earn a variety of cryptocurrency rewards.
The game utilises blockchain technology to allow players full control over the in-game economy. By mining and crafting resources such as minerals, ships, and buildings, players earn tokens. There will be no $GALFI token sale, with all $GALFI tokens to be earned through in-game activities.
GalFi features 15 tokenized currencies and resources, all on-chain and fully-tradable. The game’s NFTs exist on Polygon, while the $GALFI token will be available on a variety of decentralized exchanges that support Ethereum and Polygon. Other tokens featured in the game will be tradable via GalFi’s internal DEX.
How do I earn tokens in the GalFi Discord RPG?
Players can join the GalFi Discord RPG by entering the GalFi Discord server and navigating to the #galfirpg channel. From there, they can start gathering resources such as Ore, Minerals, and Tetra by using the /mine command.
As gameplay progresses, users can purchase ships, recruit crew members, and upgrade their planets, enabling passive resource generation. The in-game shop allows for the trading of mined resources in exchange for equipment and upgrades, adding a deeper layer of resource management.
Collected resources from the Discord RPG will convert into tokens upon the launch of the full GalFi game. This allows players to carry over progress, ensuring their efforts in the mini-game have lasting value.
How do I earn the top rewards?
The GalFi Discord RPG features a leaderboard that rewards top players with token prizes, much like Telegram Tapper. $GALFI and other resource tokens collected during play will be redeemable once the main game is live.
Players must compete against each other to secure the top spots on the leaderboards for the best rewards. The final reward tiers and conversion rates will be announced soon, encouraging players to start building as soon as possible.
The full GalFi game is set to launch before the end of 2024.
