Gamescom Asia is back – and it’s bigger than ever!
From October 20-22, the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, Singapore will once again play home to one of the world’s largest gaming conferences, Gamescom Asia.
With a larger presence across the Trade and Conferences Zones than ever before, and the arrival of the much-awaited Entertainment Zone – in-person for the first time – thousands will flock to check out upcoming releases, exclusive demos and big announcements.
An estimated 3,000 trade attendees, 80+ exhibiting companies and many thousands of fans will come together for a celebration of gaming culture, games development and next-gen experiences.
Meta0 – a company providing API and SDK-based blockchain infrastructure solutions – is a Platinum Sponsor of the event, and – if Gamescom Europe is anything to go by – they certainly won’t be the only Web3 company showcasing their expertise at the event.
Jason Fung, former Global Head of Gaming at TikTok and CEO of Meta0, will be speaking at Gamescom Asia, sharing why interoperability and blockchain-agnostic games are vital for the survival and success of Web3 gaming.
Other attendees include PlayStation, Xbox, Gamedriver, TikTok, Xsolla, Roblox, Hooded Horse and many, many more.
Event Overview
PRIMETIME, a 1-hour online show – hosted by renowned esports presenter, Victoria Cheng – will kick-off proceedings on October 19, featuring breaking news, premieres, first-looks and more on games from the ASEAN region and around the world.
Trade delegates can expect to see representation from a range of companies across the industry, with the ability to attend talks and talent drives, arrange face-to-face meetings and explore the Entertainment Zone ahead of the opening to public visitors on October 20.
The Gamescom Asia Steam page will be live throughout the week, allowing gamers to add games showcased at the event to their wishlist, get special discounts, and play online demos.
STUDIO, hosted by Tashbunny, will round things off on October 23 with a comprehensive recap, plus the latest gaming news across Southeast Asia and beyond.
Both PRIMETIME and STUDIO, will be localised in Bahasa Indonesia and Thai with hosts Dejet and Mint respectively.

Opinion
To say I’m excited would be putting it mildly. I’ve always been fascinated by these big gaming events, and I couldn’t let the opportunity to attend Gamescom Asia pass.
Blockchain has made an increasing mark on the games industry this year, and whilst there’s been a few hiccups thus far, we’re seeing major partnerships be forged behind the scenes, in what will surely result in big impacts in future.
There’s no better way to get an idea of what’s coming next than by taking part in it yourself!
