Popular Bitcoin Ordinals platform Gamma has unveiled a new experience that unites both Bitcoin Ordinals and Stacks NFT trading into one application.
This move positions Gamma as a leading platform for digital art on Bitcoin, ahead of the upcoming Stacks Nakamoto Upgrade and the introduction of sBTC – both set to have a big impact on the Bitcoin NFT ecosystem.
Holders of Gamma Summer Passes can access a beta release of the platform from today, September 17.
What will Gamma’s Bitcoin Ordinals and Stacks NFT platform include?
Users with access to the beta will be able to connect their Bitcoin L1 Ordinals wallet with their Stacks L2 NFT wallet. This will result in a united profile that will allow collectors to interact, manage and display assets from both ecosystems in a single application.
The beta platform will also see Gamma debut a variety of new user interfaces. Traders can benefit from a UI that puts analytics, market data and statistics in full view, whilst collectors can enjoy a UI that puts the art in prime position.
Gamma have collaborated with popular Bitcoin Ordinals wallet Xverse for this beta release, with the wallet fully supporting Gamma’s united Bitcoin Ordinals and Stacks NFT experience.
What does this mean for the future of Gamma Ordinals?
The Stacks Nakamoto Upgrade is set to reduce block times on the Layer-2 from 10 minutes to a few seconds. By uniting the Bitcoin Ordinals and Stacks ecosystems, Gamma Ordinals aim to make the most of this upgrade by positioning themselves as the go-to platform for both assets.
The introduction of sBTC will allow Bitcoin Ordinals to bridge between Bitcoin Layer-1 and Stacks Layer-2. This will offer new flexibility and control for collectors – an advantage that Gamma is looking to take full advantage of with this new platform.
