Popular cryptocurrency data aggregator CoinGecko have announced their inaugural in-person conference, GeckoCon, will take place on November 11, 2024 at ICONSIAM in Bangkok, Thailand.
This one-day conference will focus on web3 gaming, bringing together a host of industry leaders, developers and enthusiasts to discuss and highlight the latest technological advancements and trends, with keynotes, panels, networking opportunities and more.
The event will have a focus on interactive experiences, with demos of upcoming web3 games, and workshops to get both developers and players more engaged with the industry.
What is GeckoCon?
GeckoCon is a series of industry events organised by crypto data site, CoinGecko.
Previous GeckoCon events have been purely virtual. GeckoCon 2024 marks the first time that the event will have both a physical and a virtual presence.
“Past GeckoCons have been virtual to accommodate our global audience,” said Bobby Ong, COO and Co-founder of CoinGecko. “This GeckoCon, we’re combining the accessibility of virtual attendance with the dynamic energy of an in-person event. Attendees can expect the best of both worlds.”
What can we expect from GeckoCon 2024?
Alongside the array of interactive experiences on offer, GeckoCon will feature a number of headline keynotes and panels with some of the biggest names in the industry.
A list of speakers has yet to be revealed, though past speakers at GeckoCon include; Robby Yung, CEO of Animoca Brands; Robbie Ferguson, President of Immutable; and Alexander Larson, COO of Axie Infinity.
Tickets are available to purchase via the CoinGecko website, starting at $5.99 USD for the virtual conference, or $11.99 USD for the in-person conference, with VIP tickets available for $119.99 USD.
