Popular Ethereum-based NFT project Goblintown has brought a chaotic live experience to Union Square, Manhattan starting April 20 and running through April 22.
At the centre of the gathering is a high-stakes, one-shot-only driving game challenge: beat the game on your first attempt and walk away with $10,000 in cash.
Alongside the competition, visitors are offered free food and early access to Goblintown’s upcoming game inside a custom-built gaming truck.

What is Goblintown?
Goblintown is a collection of 10,000 generative NFTs launched on the Ethereum blockchain in May 2022.
Emerging during a sharp downturn in the cryptocurrency market, the project became a symbol of the market’s uncertainty and absurdity. With deliberately crude artwork and no clear roadmap or promised utility, Goblintown embraced chaos at a time when confidence in the broader NFT sector was falling.
Over time, it developed a strong following drawn to its irreverent style and sense of community. Now, Goblintown has expanded beyond digital collectibles into other forms of media such as gaming, offering new ways to engage with its community.

What is happening in Union Square?
The Goblintown event at Union Square offers an opportunity for fans and the curious public to experience the project’s distinctive world firsthand. Central to the experience is the driving game challenge, where players must beat an exceptionally difficult course on their first try to claim a $10,000 prize.
Attendees also gain early access to the Goblintown Game by entering a specially designed gaming truck stationed at the site. This mobile setup allows visitors to preview the game before its wider release whilst participating in the broader chaotic atmosphere that defines the Goblintown brand.
No registration is required to join, making the event open to anyone willing to take part.
