Popular Web3 trading card game Gods Unchained has introduced a Battle Pass system, allowing buyers to acquire extra card packs, emotes, $GODS tokens and more.
On top of additional regular rewards, Battle Pass holders will be able to obtain a set of exclusive rewards. These include unique God Portraits for your player profile, exclusive Mana Wheels to enhance the look of the play board, and Sealed Tickets to enter upcoming special events.
Gods Unchained Battle Passes will be available to purchase from February 10, with Season 1 to begin on February 18.
What is Gods Unchained?
Gods Unchained is a free-to-play Web3 trading card game, built on Ethereum Layer-2 network Immutable, and available on both PC and mobile.
Players take the role of Gods, building decks of themed creature and spell cards to face-off against other players in heads-up matchups.
Similar to physical trading card games, each card in Gods Unchained can come in a variety of rarities – with players able to own their cards as NFT collectibles on Immutable. This allows players to buy, sell and trade their cards with other players around the world through supported marketplaces such as TokenTrove and AtomicHub.
The game is powered by the $GODS token. $GODS is used to purchase card packs, acquire individual cards on secondary marketplaces, enter in-game tournaments – and now, to purchase the Battle Pass.
How do I buy a Gods Unchained Battle Pass?
There are three tiers of Battle Pass available in Gods Unchained:
- Free Tier ($0): available to all players automatically, at no cost
- Premium Tier ($6.99 USD): unlocks additional rewards, including $GODS tokens
- Shiny Tier ($39.99 USD): unlocks access to all rewards, including additional $GODS tokens
To purchase a Battle Pass, players will need to connect a MetaMask wallet to their Gods Unchained account. Each tier features 40 levels of rewards. Players can progress through the Battle Pass by completing quests, and competing in matches and tournaments in Gods Unchained.
A 25% discount will be applied to both Shiny Tier and Premium Tier purchases made before February 18, with pre-sale purchasers also receiving 5 bonus levels once the Battle Pass is live.
