Web3 tower defence game Gotchi Guardians have pushed their biggest update to date, enabling new bosses, new features, and debuting a play-to-airdrop phase for their upcoming $GOTCHI token.
As part of this update, the new Event System has overhauled the core gameplay loop to add more unpredictability and excitement, expanding strategic options for players.
New to each Final Round are the so-called Lickquidator Bosses. These are more powerful versions of regular enemies that gain bonus abilities – and defeating them rewards the player with exclusive Guardian Buffs and the new Upgrade Seed currency.

What is Gotchi Guardians?
Gotchi Guardians is a free-to-play Web3-powered tower defense survival game, built on Aavegotchi‘s Geist blockchain, and available on both PC and mobile.
Developed by Pixelcraft Studios, players place and upgrade an array of towers to fight progressive waves of enemies – in typical tower defence-style. With a variety of dynamic maps to play across, and the all-new Event System, each play-through presents fresh challenges, and players will need to use all of their strategic nous to succeed and obtain rewards.
Starting with this 0.7.0 release, players can now work towards obtaining the soon-to-launch $GOTCHI token – an ecosystem token for Aavegotchi – which is expected to arrive in early 2025.

How do I earn $GOTCHI in Gotchi Guardians?
By playing Gotchi Guardians and hitting certain objectives, players will now earn Badges.
These Badges can be used to spin the GOTCHI Wheel, which will award the player with an amount of GOTCHI points. Upon the token generation event for the $GOTCHI token, these points will be used to help calculate how much of that token will be allocated to the player.
To spin the GOTCHI Wheel, players must be Geist VIP Members. This requires a code, which is obtainable via giveaways or from Aavegotchi NFT holders, which is entered into the Geist dApp.
