According to industry sources, web3-friendly AI data layer Grass AI have sold out the pre-sale for their GigaBuds NFTs collection, ahead of a purported token launch in August.
This comes ahead of a big update expected to bring a large influx of new users very soon, although utility and benefits for these GigaBuds NFTs are yet to be revealed.
Grass has acquired more than 2 million users since their initial launch less than 12 months ago, and is one of the fastest-growing projects in web3.
What is Grass AI?
Developed by Wynd Labs, the Grass Chrome Extension and mobile app allows users to take advantage of their unused bandwidth to help power the web scraping necessary for building AI – and earn crypto rewards for doing so.
By using Grass, users earn Grass Points. These can be converted into ownership of the Grass Network, which can be sold for crypto rewards – with other fiat and governance rewards being explored.

Last week, according to industry sources, Grass announced a pre-sale for their GigaBuds NFT collection to a small cohort of longstanding supporters – ahead of their proposed token launch, anticipated to arrive in mid-August.
This community pre-sale has now ended, with each phase purported to have sold out in minutes.
Our sources indicate that the Grass team have reported that GigaBuds NFTs will perform a key role in the growth strategy of Grass, helping to build a recognizable and unified identity around the brand. Holders are expected to receive a variety of utility benefits.
When will GigaBuds and the Grass AI token launch?
According to our sources, additional information on GigaBuds NFTs has yet to be revealed, including when the collection is set to launch, or what the exact utility benefits will be for holders.
The same can be said for the proposed token – the name and ticker for which is still unknown – which is expected to make its debut in August 2024.
