Web3 RPG Guild of Guardians Introduces Pets

Web3 roguelite RPG Guild of Guardians has introduced Pets, a new in-game feature that combines utility and collectability.

Available from today, Pets function as companions that aid players by offering resource bonuses, energy regeneration, and additional rewards during gameplay.

This marks a significant update for the game, expanding both its strategic options and lore elements.

What are Pets in Guild of Guardians?

Pets are collectible NFTs that accompany players and their Guardians in the game designed to provide passive support and increase the likelihood of earning valuable rewards during Adventure Mode.

Players can equip up to three Pets at a time, which can collectively provide a maximum of six active passive skills. These abilities help players accumulate resources, crafting materials, and in-game currency as they progress.

Pets are divided into four tiers of rarity—Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Common and Rare Pets offer one skill each, whilst Epic and Legendary Pets provide two, allowing for greater in-game advantages.

In addition to gameplay benefits, Pets integrate into the game’s lore. One standout example is Selene, a Legendary Pet described as 400 years old, with a backstory tied to Elderym—a prominent setting in Guild of Guardians.

To support this update, the game has introduced new icons in the rewards system. A glowing paw icon now represents “critical success” rewards obtained through Pets, whilst a non-glowing paw denotes standard rewards.

Skills and Tiers for Pets Collectibles

Each Pet has a unique skill set determined by its archetype—Worker, Scout, or Hunter. Skills range from resource gathering to energy restoration, with specific abilities tied to dungeon completions in Adventure Mode.

Some examples include:

These skills offer strategic benefits for resource management and progression, allowing players to tailor their gameplay experience based on the Pets they equip. The full list is available on the official Guild of Guardians website.

The Pets feature is being introduced in phases, with further updates expected to expand its functionality and scope. Whilst the full details of future plans are yet to be announced, developers have encouraged players to showcase their Pets and discuss the feature within the game’s community platforms.
