Web3 gaming ecosystem Illuvium has revealed a partnership with Casio’s G-SHOCK watch brand to release an exclusive line of NFTs, with an exclusive co-branded watch on offer.
These NFTs will be usable in Illuvium Beyond, the ecosystem’s trading card game that launched earlier this year. Six so-called G-SHOCK Illuvitars will be available to acquire from unique D1SK NFTs, in a variety of rarities.
The collection is set to drop on December 9, with more details on the collection to be revealed on December 5.
What is Illuvium Beyond?
Illuvium Beyond is a blockchain-based collectible card game, and the latest title in the Illuvium ecosystem, having released in March 2024.
The game encourages players to acquire Illuvitars – hand-drawn creatures with a unique combination of traits and accessories – to boost their power rating and climb the leaderboards. They are an extension of the Illuvial creatures that exist in the Illuvium universe, though exist outside of its mainline titles.
Illuvitars and accessories are both acquired via D1SKs – NFTs which contain an assortment of random items, and that can be openly traded with other participants once purchased from the Illuvium Store.
How do I acquire the exclusive Illuvium x G-SHOCK watch?
To get your hands on the limited-edition Illuvium x G-SHOCK watch, participants must purchase 20 or more D1SKs, once the collection is live.
With each D1SK priced at $35 USD, participants will have to spend a minimum of $700 USD to get their hands on this exclusive timepiece.
G-SHOCK have collaborated with many web3 brands to produce exclusive timepieces in the past. This includes partnerships with Doodles in February 2024, and STEPN GO in August 2024.
