Web3 gaming platform Immutable has announced that their Immutable Passport wallet service can now be integrated into Telegram mini-apps.
This allows Telegram-based tap-to-earn games to seamlessly add wallet support, enabling non-blockchain fans to get stuck into these games without any prior web3 knowledge – as outlined in the latest Immutable Developer Blog.
The integration supports both authentication and their new pre-approved transaction signing feature, which has the potential to enable a wide variety of in-game blockchain-related actions, such as NFT minting, item crafting, and asset transfers.

What else have Immutable released?
Alongside the ability to integrate Immutable Passport into Telegram mini-apps, Immutable have integrated wallet security service Blockaid into Passport.
This will give Passport users real-time alerts and warnings when signing suspect transactions, elevating player security and giving game developers the tools to ensure player safety.
These updates come alongside improved guides for utilising ERC-20 NFTs across the Immutable zkEVM ecosystem, and improved reference material for their Unity and Unreal Engine SDKs for developers.

What’s next for Immutable?
Immutable have given a peek behind the curtain at some of their future developments.
Upcoming features include multi-currency transaction support for their in-game marketplaces, and a streamlined on-ramp experience that’s designed to combine bridging, swapping and onboarding into a single widget.
As a whole, Immutable has enjoyed a successful 2024, with the launch of titles such as Guild of Guardians, and the continued growth of games such as Gods Unchained.
