Immutable has recently announced that its Immutable X Marketplace will begin winding down on its operations on August 13, with complete closure scheduled for September 27.
Initially launched to demonstrate the capabilities of the Immutable SDK, the Immutable X Marketplace will now redirect its focus towards supporting third-party marketplaces instead of maintaining its own trading platform.
In light of this change, users and developers are being provided with guidance on transitioning to alternative marketplace solutions.

What is Immutable X Marketplace?
Immutable X Marketplace is a gas-free platform designed for trading NFTs and other digital assets, utilizing the StarkEx Layer 2 scaling solution on Ethereum.
The platform supported various games and digital collectibles and gained popularity for its eco-friendly approach and partnerships with several gaming projects, including Gods Unchained, Guild of Guardians, Cross the Ages, and many more.
The marketplace was originally built to showcase the features available to developers through the Immutable SDK.

What will happen to the assets on the marketplace?
Users of the Immutable X Marketplace do not need to take any actions regarding their assets.
All NFTs and tokens are stored on the blockchain, linked to users’ wallet addresses, and can be accessed across different marketplaces that utilize the Immutable Global Orderbook. This ensures that listings remain consistent across various platforms, allowing users’ listings to remain active on other marketplaces without any additional steps.
Users are encouraged to explore several third-party alternatives for trading NFTs on the Immutable X ($IMX) chain, with recommendations including TokenTrove, AtomicHub, and Sphere.
Additionally, other platforms such as Rarible, Mintable, and NFTrade also support trading on Immutable X.
