The Sandbox is launching Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve as part of its Alpha Season 5.
This collaboration with Universal and Amblin Entertainment will introduce a dinosaur sanctuary simulation, allowing players to manage and care for prehistoric creatures in a virtual setting. The experience is set to debut ahead of the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth film, which will be released in cinemas on July 2.
Season 5 will run for six weeks and feature over 40 new experiences, including interactive content from Attack on Titan, The Smurfs, and The Terminator. Alongside these additions, The Sandbox has upgraded its game maker tool, introducing improved animations, gameplay mechanics, and new features that enhance user interaction.

What is Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve?
The Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve game places players in the role of a Dinosaur Protection Group member, tasked with managing a dinosaur sanctuary. Players will care for various dinosaur species by incubating eggs, raising young dinosaurs, and ensuring the creatures are properly maintained.
There will be ten different types of dinosaur eggs, split between herbivores, which will be available for free, and carnivores, which will be available as premium purchases.
Both the eggs and dinosaurs will be issued as limited-edition NFTs, allowing players to collect and trade them within The Sandbox’s ecosystem.

What else is new in Season 5?
Season 5 of The Sandbox will include both user-generated content and brand collaborations, with 20 of the 40 new experiences coming from well-known franchises. Players will also have the opportunity to earn rewards through a battle pass system, with $SAND tokens and NFTs available as incentives.
Additionally, new virtual land purchases will be introduced, allowing players to expand their presence in the metaverse. The upgraded game maker tool will bring enhanced gameplay mechanics, including improved character movements and new ability features, such as flying and double-jumping.
Future updates will introduce new brand partnerships, additional interactive experiences, and expanded platform-wide engagement features.
