Cross-chain web3 MMO Legends of Venari have launched an open playtest of the title for the first time, giving players the opportunity to explore the mysterious new world of Caerras.
In the playtest, players can tame, train and battle powerful creatures called Venari, completing quests to earn Airdrop Shards – which will purportedly count towards the game’s upcoming token launch.
A variety of other exclusive rewards prior can be acquired during the open playtest, giving players an advantage ahead of the full release of the game.
What is Legends of Venari?
Available on PC, Legends of Venari is a cross-chain web3 MMO. Players explore the world of Caerras, discover and capture creatures called Venari, and train them to succeed in combat against one another.
Taming Venari of particular types is essential for gaining an advantage in battles, and completing the quests available during the open playtest. Each Venari exhibits particular behaviours, and so to capture Venari, players must work out how to bait and trap the creatures to exploit their strengths and weaknesses.
Party combat is the focal point of Legends of Venari, with each creature able to level up, gain new skills, and be pitted against opponents across the world of Caerras.
What can I expect from the Legends of Venari open playtest?
The playtest introduces the inaugural storyline of Legends of Venari. Players will meet Professor Oswald, and investigate a “mysterious Kore energy outbreak.” Through progressing the story, players will begin to unravel the story behind this mysterious outbreak – and what it means for Caerras.
Alongside the main story, Daily Quests and Side Quests encourage players to explore the vibrant in-game world and earn a variety of in-game rewards.
The most sought-after of these rewards are Airdrop Shards, acquired by completing quests, gathering resources, crafting items using rare materials, and by defeating rare Venari in battle. Details are yet to be revealed, but it is expected that these Airdrop Shards will count toward’s the game’s upcoming token launch event.
Additional updates are expected to follow during the course of the playtest, including a feature that will introduce Venari minting, and an evolution system for Venari that will allow players to further level up their creatures and unlock new abilities.
