Meet Saskia, NFT Insider’s Newest Content Writer

Find out all about Saskia, her pets and her NFT collection, Cat Stickers, in this introductory article.

Hi there! I’m Saskia and I’m excited to announce that I recently joined the NFT Insider team as a Content Writer!

You’ll be seeing all sorts of articles and posts from me going forward, so I thought it would be best if you knew a little bit more about me…

Well then, here it goes!

A Not-So-Short Summary

My name is Saskia, but I’m also happy to be called Sas. I grew up and currently live in Durban, South Africa, which is a very warm coastal city at the very bottom of Africa.

Throughout my life, I have always had a passion for cute things and anything creative. As a result, I’ve tried and loved lots of different hobbies including photography, polymer clay charms, painting, writing, drawing, ballet, reading, video games and recently, digital art.

My favourite video game? Animal Crossing, by far. I played it during our first lockdown for 3 weeks straight and haven’t missed a day since, so it’s just a part of my personality at this point. Anyway…

When I’m not hopping from hobby to hobby or playing on my Nintendo Switch, I’m usually caring for my many animals. I have a serious soft spot for anything small and fluffy and will chew your ear off about animals and their correct care, if you let me.

At the moment, I have a rescued Chinchilla called Misha, a Tabby cat called Tigger, a miniature Poodle named Didi, and 3 rescued hairless guinea pigs that are otherwise referred to as “The Nudist Colony”. Here’s some photos of them all, even though you didn’t ask. You’re welcome 😉

What else, what else… well, it might be interesting to note that I studied Strategic Brand Communication at university, and have been working as a Digital Marketer and Social Media Manager since. Up until now, of course, as my new role is Content Creator for!

But how did I get here? To explain that, I’ll first need to introduce to you my greatest and proudest achievement yet – Cat Stickers!

Cat Stickers

If you’re familiar with the WAX space and love cats, then you may have come across the collection Cat Stickers. I’m the creator and artist behind this, and gosh has it been one of the best years of my life.

Through Cat Stickers, I’ve been introduced to so many amazing people, including the awesome team at AtomicHub and NFT Insider, as well as other artists in the WAX community. I have also learnt so much about the crypto & NFT space throughout my year as an NFT artist, and I’m excited to learn and grow as more of the world adopts blockchain technology.

On top of this, I have been able to take my little hobby of drawing neckless cats and turn it into something that not only brings me a small income but that makes me incredibly excited to get up every day. The community we’ve created around my NFTs and cats really is my favourite part about being an NFT artist. I mean, just look at real-life Bagheera standing next to his custom Cat Sticker NFT. I nearly died from the cuteness.

Final Thoughts

Working for and NFT Insider is a dream job for me and I can’t wait to see where it takes me and how I’ll grow. I also have big plans for Cat Stickers and am excited to draw many, many more cats and to try some new things as well!

I hope to meet even more awesome people going forward, and a personal goal of mine is to help small artists to release their art as NFTs so they can experience what I have over the past year. NFTs have greatly empowered me as an artist and individual, and I hope to share this with others.

Thanks for having a read through this – if you did, here’s a star for you *insert star emoji here*
