Web3 farming RPG Moonfrost is set to end its in-game Farm Royale event tomorrow, November 12.
This event sees players take part in a player-versus-player farming-based minigame where they collect an in-game currency known as SHARDs. The more SHARDs are collected, the larger the community prize pool – which players can secure a share of by placing high on the in-game leaderboards.
Payouts from the Farm Royale event are scheduled to be distributed shortly after its conclusion.

How does the Farm Royale event work?
To join the Farm Royale event, players will need an access code for Moonfrost – which is playable on Windows or Mac. These can be acquired for free, shortly after signing-up to play the game via the Moonfrost website.
Once in game, players can enter the event by finding the option within the leaderboard tab, visiting the chicken statue in the village, or on the right-hand side of the in-game UI.
During the Farm Royale event, players grow crops and collect resources to add to Deposit Chests. Each chest requires specific resources or crops, with players scored on speed, quantity, and quality. Players can also use the Earthquaker, a tool which can break chests for additional rewards, as an additional way to earn points quickly.

What are SHARDs?
SHARDs are the core in-game currency of Moonfrost, and a pre-cursor to the game’s planned $FROST token.
SHARDs give players access to rare items, areas, and in-game events – although we are yet to know the details of how this in-game currency will translate into the soon-to-launch $FROST token.
To date, SHARDs have been already been distributed via Moonfrost’s Farming Fest event, which saw players earn whitelist spots for the free mint of Frost-Hunter Licenses. These licenses give holders perks such as priority access to future updates, and an allocation of $FROST upon release.
