Decentralised music streaming platform Gala Music have launched their own tap-to-earn game, Music Miner – the latest title to enter the burgeoning Telegram-based tap-to-earn gaming genre.
Players of Music Miner will be working to earn $MUSIC tokens, with developers hoping to boost exposure to Gala Music and the wider Gala ecosystem, and draw from Telegram’s near 1 billion-strong user base.
Music Miner is not the first Telegram-based title to be produced by the Gala Music team, as it follows their previous tap-to-earn game, Treasure Tapper.
What is Gala Music?
Gala Music is a decentralized streaming platform, powered by their native Layer-1 GalaChain.
The platform aims to offer a fairer revenue distribution solution to artists compared to mainstream music streaming options, whilst incorporating web3 elements of tokenisation and fan engagement.
Snoop Dogg, Jordin Sparks and Earl Sweatshirt are just some of the prominent artists to have their music available via the Gala Music platform, with some using the platform to offer exclusive NFT drops of unreleased music, fostering a closer relationship with their fans.
How does Music Miner work?
Anyone with a Telegram account and internet access can start playing Music Miner immediately. Like other popular titles in the tap-to-earn genre – such as Notcoin, Musk Empire and Hamster Kombat – players simply tap on the main screen to start earning.
By doing this, players will work towards an allocation of $MUSIC tokens, which will be minted on the TON and GalaChain blockchains in the future.
On top of this, Gala Music is looking to leverage Music Miner’s access to Telegram’s massive mainstream audience to promote their decentralised music streaming solution, the wider Gala ecosystem, and to help spread knowledge of web3 technology and its benefits.
