Musk Empire is the latest addition to the ever-growing world of Telegram-based web3 tap-to-earn games.
Featured, but not affiliated, with infamous CEO of Tesla & SpaceX and owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, Musk Empire sees players harvest Musk dollars via tapping their screen, and purchase upgrades to improve the speed and quantity in which these dollars can be earned.
Although it’s only been live for a little over a week, Musk Empire already boasts millions of users, thanks to the promise of – like with many of these Telegram-based tap-to-earn titles – the promise of an upcoming token airdrop in collaboration with the TON blockchain.
How does Musk Empire work?
The gameplay of Musk Empire is very similar to other tap-to-earn games, like Hamster Kombat and Notcoin.
Players tap the screen to earn an in-game currency, and purchase upgrades that improve their ability to earn more of this currency faster, with no end-game as such.
Upgrades in Musk Empire revolve around fitness, nutrition, sleep, brain capacity, discipline and networking, with players also able to purchase in-game offices and team members once their currency count is high enough.
Players are incentivised to invite their friends to receive an in-game currency boost and other rewards – which has helped with the game’s proliferation thus far.
Musk Empire doesn’t delve too deep into the various idiosyncrasies of the real-life Tesla founder, so for those who aren’t fans of Elon Musk, it is more the latest tap-tycoon title that has grabbed the public’s attention.
When will the airdrop take place?
Musk Empire promises to launch a token on the TON blockchain – a platform supported by and integrated into Telegram.
This will translate the in-game currency into a fungible token, with higher in-game currency amounts expected to translate into higher token allocation.
