Developed by Proof of Play, Pirate Nation is a fully on-chain RPG set in a vast pirate-themed world, where players can mint characters, explore the seas, and battle adversaries.
As a blockchain-based game, it uses on-chain assets and rewards, allowing players to earn and trade items in the form of NFTs.
The game focuses on exploration, combat, and strategy, offering players the ability to develop their characters, improve ships, and engage in turn-based battles. Players can join different factions, build their fleets, and engage in both solo and multiplayer adventures.
What is Pirate’s Saga?
Pirate’s Saga is a newly launched game mode within Pirate Nation that introduces a series of 20 combat challenges that players must complete in a specific order.
Each challenge features different enemies, including sea monsters, and as players defeat them, they unlock the next level. Along with advancing through levels, players earn rewards that can be used to craft items or traded within the game’s economy.
The game mode is designed to be beginner-friendly, with the first set of challenges aimed at helping new players understand the basic mechanics of Pirate Nation. Players begin with 3 lives, and each time they lose a challenge or flee from a battle, one life is deducted. If all lives are used up, players must wait 8 hours for a reset. This free-to-play mechanic allows players to experience the game without the need for immediate financial investment, though they have the option to purchase additional lives.
The challenges and rewards system in Pirate’s Saga offers players a structured way to progress through the game whilst providing tangible incentives. Developers plan to expand the mode in future updates with additional map sections and more complex challenges, as well as better rewards for those who tackle tougher adventures.
