The developers behind the PSG1, the recently-announced Web3 gaming handheld by Play Solana, have revealed that Wave 1 pre-orders will receive an airdrop of $GIGA tokens.
$GIGA is a Solana-based memecoin that has risen in popularity from mid-2024 through to early 2025. As of writing, $GIGA is priced at $0.0825 USD, with a market cap above $750 million USD and a fully-diluted valuation of above $825 million USD.
Pre-orders for a special $GIGA edition of the PSG1 device are now available, priced at $319 USD.

What is the PSG1 and $GIGA Airdrop?
The PSG1 – which stands for Play Solana Gen 1 – is an upcoming Web3 gaming handheld device.
Powered by Solana, the device allows users to enjoy Solana-based games on a device with a fully-tokenized economy. With a built-in hardware wallet, the PSG1 looks to handle security first and foremost, allowing users to focus on gameplay rather than wallet safety.
The hardware specs of the PSG1 have yet to be revealed. In renders shown by the Play Solana team, the console has a design that’s inspired by the Game Boy Color, with the addition of analog sticks that are commonplace on the likes of PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo controllers.
The device is priced at $299 USD for the base model, or $319 USD for a variety of token or project-inspired variants – including for the $GIGA token. Pre-orders are now open, with the device expected to ship in Q2 2025.

Who are Play Solana?
Play Solana is the development team behind the PSG1 console.
The team first emerged in September 2024 with the release of their <Player 1> NFT collection on Magic Eden. This NFT gave holders early access to pre-order the PSG1, and will also provide holders an allocation of the soon-to-launch $SPL token, exclusive updates, and access to future airdrops.
Play Solana have revealed that an exact shipping date for the PSG1 will be provided later on in 2025, with the goal to make the console available in as many regions worldwide as possible.
