Web3 trading card game Raini: The Lords of Light will be officially sunset on July 21, 2025, as developers Raini Studios refocus their efforts on a pair of brand-new titles.
Buried in an X thread outlining Raini Studios’ future plans for their $RST token, the team confirmed that two new games – Lucha Throwdown and Uncaged: The Jon Jones Brawler – are set to debut soon. To concentrate on these titles – which “will drive massive revenue” – the difficult decision was made to cut Raini: The Lords of Light.
All unpaid $RST rewards will be distributed ahead of the game’s closure, with all play-to-earn, collect-to-earn and leaderboard earnings mechanisms immediately discontinued.
As of writing, $RST is priced at $0.0016 USD, with a market cap of less than $1 million USD.

What is Raini: The Lords of Light?
Raini: The Lords of Light is a Web3 trading card game, built on Avalanche, and available on PC via the Epic Games Store.
Developed by Raini Studios, and inspired by titles such as Hearthstone, MTG Arena and Gods Unchained, players build decks of powerful cards before facing-off in 1v1 duels to determine the ultimate victor.
The game was the main driver for the $RST token. At its height in March 2024, $RST was priced at $0.12 USD, with a market cap well above $50 million USD. Today, $RST is down by over 99% from its all-time high, with the decline in the token price and player count within Raini: The Lords of Light cited as a major reason for its closure.

When will Raini: The Lords of Light shut down?
Raini: The Lords of Light is scheduled to be shut down on July 21, 2025.
Until then, the game remains free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, with all NFT assets continuing to function as normal until the game’s closure.
Although NFTs will continue to function, from this point forward all play-to-earn, collect-to-earn and leaderboard earning mechanisms have been discontinued, with no active ways to continue to earn $RST tokens or other such rewards within the game.
The team have confirmed that any unpaid $RST rewards will be sent out before the game’s closure, with players encouraged to keep an eye out for further news on Raini Studios’ upcoming titles.
