Elysium-powered racing title Rebel Cars are holding Round 2 of their Race Track NFT mint today, August 15.
Round 2 includes a fresh batch of fractional NFTs based on a variety of the world’s most famous racetracks, including Monza, Monaco, the Red Bull Ring and Spa-Francorchamps.
Early participants can acquire a 45% discount if they’re within the first 10% of purchasers of these fractional NFTs – although buyers that use $RC tokens can earn an additional 10% discount on the mint price.
What is Rebel Cars?
Developed by Ixor VFX and Vulcan Forged, Rebel Cars is a free-to-play racing game built on the Elysium blockchain.
The game is currently in its development phase, with plans for an public alpha test to arrive in before the end of the year. It is expected that Rebel Track NFT shareholders will gain closed alpha access to the title in September 2024.
According to the Rebel Cars roadmap, the alpha test will feature a simple single player mode against AI opponents, with the addition of a Career Mode anticipated to arrive in the first half of 2025. In the second half of 2025, the team plans to add an online mode, allowing players to race head-to-head out on the track.
The long-term aim of the title is to develop a high-quality racing title with a loyal, competitive community, where players can earn $RC tokens through success in their races.
What are these Race Track NFTs?
Each of the four circuits available – Monza, Monaco, the Red Bull Ring and Spa – are represented by a Rebel Track NFT. These NFTs are split into 1,000 fractional NFTs each, with the price varying from track to track.
10% of the fractional NFTs of these tracks have already been sold, with this Round 2 sale opening up the remainder of these fractional NFTs for purchase.
Rebel Track fractional NFT holders earn passive income, as players will have to purchase these circuits for use in-game, and may use $RC tokens to enter events, tournaments and championships on these circuits.
Any in-game sponsorships or branding involving the circuit will also see the holders of these fractional NFTs be rewarded, and these holders will also be invited to vote on particular in-game initiatives, add billboards to the virtual circuits, and take part in exclusive in-game events.
In collaboration with Vulcan Forged, fractional NFT holders may also receive rewards such as F1 Grand Prix tickets, racing academy days, test drive opportunities and much more.
