Somnium Space, the metaverse company behind the Web3-ready Somnium VR1 headset, has confirmed that they have been granted FCC approval to begin U.S. shipping in January 2025.
This follows the successful launch of the VR headset in the UK and Europe, with the first five batches of the device now on their way or in the hands of customers.
To adjust for complex production processes, and to keep quality high, the price of the Somnium VR1 Visionary, Titan and Ultimate Editions is set to increase on January 16, with the updated prices to be revealed soon.

Dedicated users can also make use of the Somnium Unity SDK and PlayCanvas SDK to create intricate virtual experiences for both them and other players to enjoy.
Somnium Space is powered by the $CUBE token – which currently sits at a fully-diluted value above $65 million USD – and a collection of Land Parcel NFTs, which enable holders to own and develop plots within Somnium Space.
