Sparkball is offering players a chance to earn an exclusive in-game skin by completing ranked matches during Steam Next Fest from June 9 to June 16.
The exclusive ‘Beach Day’ skin is linked to the character Inksy and is awarded to players who complete at least 10 matches during the active period. According to the developer, Opti Games, this reward is tied to a collaboration Somnia blockchain.
The skin will become available for use during Sparkball’s upcoming launch phase, known as Season Zero.

What can we expect from Sparkball demo?
The Sparkball demo introduces ranked matchmaking from 9:00 to 21:00 PST daily. During this window, players can queue for structured matches that follow a best-of-three format with each round lasting approximately five minutes, and match outcomes determined by total goals scored.
The game currently includes 11 playable characters divided across three roles: strikers, tanks, and supports. Inksy—the character associated with the event-exclusive skin—is designed around damage output and ability-based interactions.
Offline modes are also available during the demo, allowing players to explore the game’s mechanics and character abilities outside of the ranked system. No additional progression requirements have been set for unlocking the Inksy skin aside from the match count.

How to play the game during Steam Next Fest?
Sparkball is available to download at no cost via Steam and runs on Windows 10 PCs. A short tutorial is included to introduce core controls and mechanics, followed by optional challenge courses for further practice.
To qualify for the exclusive skin, players must complete ten ranked matches before the demo closes on June 16. Each match typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes to complete, depending on queue times and round outcomes.
Following the demo, Opti Games plans to begin Season Zero—the game’s first structured competitive season—which will include a battle pass and other reward systems.
