Popular web3 TCG Splinterlands is launching its Hall of Legends event today, September 3. The event will feature the debut of brand-new cards, the introduction of the voucher shop and fresh competitive leaderboards.
The Hall of Legends event was approved by the Splinterlands community back in July 2024. It will expand the Rebellion card set and see the release of two exclusive promo cards every two weeks, with a total of 10 unique trading cards to be introduced over the next five months.
These rare and legendary promo cards will only be available to purchase during this Hall of Legends event, and will not be available in future sales.
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a web3 trading card game built on Hive.
Players face-off in head-to-head match-ups, mixing traditional TCG elements with auto-battler combat. Games are fast-paced, often lasting only a few minutes, with strategy, forward-thinking and clever tactics being key to success.
Over 500 unique NFT cards can be collected, and players can also earn cryptocurrency by completing quests, succeeding in ranked play, and competing in tournaments.
What is the Hall of Legends event?
Hall of Legends will see the debut of a raft of new promo cards.
The first two cards will release on September 10; Elanor Bravefoot and Sanctus Vicar. Eleanor Bravefoot is a powerful magic-wielder that will cost 50,000 Dark Energy Crystals (roughly $36 USD), whilst Sanctus Victor is a defence-minded priest that will cost 3,000 Dark Energy Crystals (roughly $2.15 USD).
Alongside these new promo cards, there will also be five competitive promo events that will grant the top 500 players unique titles. 1st to 25th will receive the “Myth Hunter” legendary title, 26th to 150th will get the “Fable Scout” epic title, and 151st to 500th will obtain the “Saga Seeker” rare title.
A new voucher shop is also on its way, stocked with special items and the new Mana Warden card – a marked change from the voucher shop’s previous discounted pack offerings.
