AtomicHub Announces Fiat Payment Option for WAX NFTs
The world’s busiest NFT marketplace and leading digital payments infrastructure provider combine to offer a next-gen NFT purchase solution!
The WAX blockchain just received its biggest news of the year so far.
Thanks to this landmark collaboration, users worldwide will be able to purchase NFTs directly from AtomicHub via credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay (WIP) and a variety of other popular payment methods – giving collectors a brand-new, accessible way to obtain WAX NFTs.
That’s not all, as alongside the ability to purchase WAX NFTs with fiat currency, users will be able to take advantage of Banxa’s infrastructure to purchase $WAXP with ease, using a wide array of payment options local to them.
Speaking on the partnership, Holger Arians, CEO of Banxa, said:
“Banxa is excited to be launching our fiat-to-NFT offering with AtomicHub. We know there is a huge amount of friction in the NFT purchase journey – and we believe our checkout product with local payment options will make it a lot easier for the community to purchase NFTs on AtomicHub’s marketplace – a win-win.”
Jona Wilmsmann, Co-Founder of Pink, said:
“We are delighted to have partnered with Banxa on this landmark fiat-to-NFT system. The friction involved with purchasing cryptocurrencies is one of the key issues for NFT collectors. This union aims to eliminate this pain point for our users and will help further our mission to establish AtomicHub as the heart and soul of the blockchain gaming and collectibles ecosystem.”
I always try to offer my unbiased opinion on breaking news in the NFT space, but as the Content & Community Lead at AtomicHub, I’m clearly influenced by these developments, so take my thoughts however you will.
In spite of that – no matter which way you cut it, this is a huge development for the WAX ecosystem.
Collectors of WAX NFTs now have a second payment method officially supported by its biggest marketplace, and one that doesn’t come with the hassle of crypto acquisition – or indeed the need to understand crypto at all.
Fiat payments open the door to a much wider potential audience for WAX, and it’ll be exciting to see how this shapes the chain for the rest of 2022 and beyond.
