Popular metaverse platform The Sandbox has unveiled the winners of its 2024 Awards, celebrating outstanding creativity and innovation within its community.
With 20 diverse categories, this year’s event marked the largest edition in the awards’ history with categories spanning mainstream genres like Action/Adventure to niche areas such as Cooking Simulator experiences.
Notable winners included creators from countries such as China, Taiwan, Thailand, France, and Argentina.
What is The Sandbox Awards?
The Sandbox Awards is an annual initiative designed to honor creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the metaverse platform. Originally known as the “Sandies,” the awards underwent a revamp in 2024 to introduce a more formal structure whilst maintaining its community-driven ethos.
Projects submitted by participants were reviewed and voted on by community members, ensuring the winners genuinely represented the preferences and creativity of The Sandbox’s user base.
This year’s awards expanded to 20 categories, showcasing a wide array of experiences—from action-packed adventures to resource management simulators. The event celebrated the global reach of The Sandbox’s ecosystem, with creators from multiple countries receiving recognition.
