Saddle up cowboys, a wild west battle royale is coming to Web3
Shine your boots and saddle up! GRIT, a brand-new Battle Royale, is riding down to the Epic Games Store.
From shootouts at high-noon to horseback gunfights across the frontier, GRIT, developed by Team GRIT and published via the Epic Games Store, will see masses of gunslingers fight for survival from saloons to the dusty prairies of the Old West and beyond.
GRIT entered its Closed Beta phase on Epic Games Store. Starting October 20 budding cowboys and cowgirls can compete for an access key by signing-up on the GRIT website, with the game available for a few hours every Thursday at 23 UTC.
Details are sparse, but it is believed that GRIT will feature character NFTs, allowing players to develop and customise their own unique gunslinger. It has also been remarked that players will be able to loot weapon cards as they gun down their opponents, although whether that plays a part in the games blockchain integration is yet to be seen.
Upon the launch of the Closed Beta, the Gala Games team remarked via blog post that:
Starting with this closed beta test, there will be a lot of exciting things happening for GRIT soon. As we approach launch, theres going to be a lot more playtest opportunities and news, so pay close attention if you dont want to miss anything coming up for GRIT!
