Web3 Game Tiny Colony Moves from Solana to ImmutableX
The management sim by ex-EA, Capcom, and PlayStation developers is jumping to the leading chain for blockchain games!

Tiny Colony, a web3 construction and management sim, has announced that it’s moving from Solana to partner with gaming-focused Ethereum Layer 2 ImmutableX.
Prior to the move, Tiny Colony was one of the top-selling collections on Solana, with over 18,000 NFT sold at over $3 million total. The migration aims to improve performance, and take advantage of IMX’s scaling features whilst maintaining the security provided by Ethereum.
The partnership will also allow Tiny Colony to receive specialised technical support and product life cycle consultation as they resume game development, including a built-in crypto wallet, fiat purchase options and more.
Andrew Sorokovsky, VP of Global Business Development at Immutable, noted:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Tiny Colony to the rapidly growing ImmutableX family. The team’s goal of building a fun and engaging web3 game that provides a variety of entertainment options and freedom of asset ownership perfectly aligns with Immutable’s own mission to power the next generation of games.”
Arshia Navabi, CEO and Co-founder of Tiny Colony, also added:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with ImmutableX as we establish ourselves in the world of web3 gaming. This partnership allows us to benefit from the specialised technical support and long-term direction provided by their experienced team as we continue to develop Tiny Colony.”
Arshia Navabi is an award-winning film producer, and has assembled an all-star team of scriptwriters, artists, developers, and animators from headline studios such as EA, Capcom, and PlayStation to see his vision for Tiny Colony come to fruition.
The game sees players build and manage a colony of creatures, putting them to work to farm, mine, build, and defend their home from raiders in a retro, pixel-art style. In-development modes – which can now resume thanks to ImmutableX – include Gladiator Wars and Tiny Survivors, where players can use the in-game resources they’ve gathered to earn NFTs.
The ImmutableX partnership will now allow existing Tiny Colony NFT holders to gain access to an alpha version of the game to test the core mechanics and provide feedback to the development team.
Opinion
This is a big move for Tiny Colony, and one that has hopefully secured their long-term future. There’s few games in Web3 with the developer talent that Tiny Colony has, and there’s no better place for the game to grow than on ImmutableX.
Conversely, this is another blow to Solana, which has now seen both its top two NFT collections and it’s biggest game announce they’re leaving the chain in the span of just a few short weeks. 2023 hasn’t started well for the Layer 1, and it’ll be hoping for better fortunes as the year moves forward.
For Tiny Colony and ImmutableX however, it’s a partnership that feels like they were made for one another. It’s a big win for both parties, and for them both, 2023 is looking very bright indeed.
