Today, AtomicHub, the world’s leading web3 marketplace, has announced a partnership with early-stage Web3 MMORPG Avalon – developed by Danu Games – to hold a series of four NFT drops on the AtomicHub Launchpad on May 17th.
With stat-boosting accessories, an Early Access Pass, a brand-new character, and exclusive in-game houses and land plots, there’s something for everyone!
What is Avalon?
Avalon is an early-stage Web3 medieval fantasy MMORPG, built on Unreal Engine 5, that spans WAX, Polygon, Ethereum and more, with further blockchains coming soon.
The star-studded development team includes Game of Thrones (RPG) writer Justin Sloan, Final Fantasy XV composer Leonardo Furore, and Halo and The Witcher environment artist Ivan Volchenko!
With a vast open world to explore, dungeons to enter, raids to tackle and dragons to ride, whether you’re a fan of PVE, PVP, crafting or more, there’s content for all strands of MMO fans. Players earn NFT items and tokens as they play, with reception from players and guilds being very positive to date.
What’s in the drop?
Avalon’s series of four NFT drops will all taking place on May 17 at 18:00 UTC via the AtomicHub Launchpad:
- The Druidic Cross of Conrad, $9.99 – guarantees a whitelist spot for future land drops, and is a stat-boosting accessory for the Dark Mage Inquisitor
- Early Access Pass (June), $49.99 – grants you access to the game for a full month, allowing you to create your own character and earn reward badge NFTs! Reward badges can be exchanged for a character that grants full access to the Beta
- The Knight of the Round Table, $179 – an Epic-rarity character that provides unlimited access to Avalon from the Beta launch in December 2023
- Large House & Village Farm Land, $599 – an interactive in-game house and land plot which generates food and crafting resources, provides storage for your items, and allows you to raise your own livestock
Each drop will be open until May 24 at 18:00 UTC (one week), and will all be an Open Mint (bar the Large House & Village Farm Land) – an unlimited number of each NFT will be available, and at the end of the drop, each template will be locked, meaning no more can be minted.
Opinion
Having listed Avalon as an Honourable Mention in our Top 5 Best WAX Blockchain Games of 2022, and as one of the Most Anticipated Web3 Games of 2023, it’s safe to say that we see a lot of potential in this Web3 MMORPG.
With such a promising, flagship game for the WAX community (and many more chains besides!) on our hands, with NFTs covering all price ranges, there’s something for everyone in this drop. As it’s an Open Mint, not only is exclusivity a given, but demand – and therefore scarcity – is decided by the community.
