Upcoming web3 MMORPG Valhalla has struck a sponsorship deal with professional gaming outfit OG Esports.
The deal will see Valhalla become an Official Sleeve Sponsor of OG Esports, and the two brands will be working together on interactive experiences for their respective fanbases.
This is the latest major interaction between blockchain entities and top-level esports, with the hopes of attracting the lucrative esports playerbase towards web3-powered titles.

What is Valhalla?
Built on the Layer-1 Berachain, Valhalla is an upcoming MMORPG title, inspired by Norse mythology.
Players traverse a vibrant world, encountering and collecting creatures known as Veras. These creatures can be trained to face opponents in turn-based, tactical battles on a hexagonal grid, with top players receiving worthwhile rewards.
Valhalla is the latest creature-collecting open-world title to come to prominence in web3, with the likes of Zeeverse and Chainmonsters also looking to succeed in this highly-competitive genre.

What does this partnership mean for web3 esports?
Both Valhalla and OG Esports are positive about the impact this sponsorship will have on the wider industry.
“Together with OG Esports, we’re ready to redefine the battlegrounds of the web3 and GameFi space – where strategy meets immersion, and every move shapes an epic world of endless possibilities,” said Brown Whale, the pseudonymous Advisor and Lead of Valhalla.
“This collaboration represents an exciting convergence of esports and blockchain gaming technologies,” added Sujoy Roy, Head of Partnerships at OG Esports. “It aligns perfectly with our commitment to staying at the forefront of the gaming industry,
“By integrating Valhalla’s cutting-edge platform with our team’s competitive spirit, we aim to enhance the gaming experience for our fans and pave the way for new opportunities in digital gaming.”
