Web3 Mobile Game Blocklete Golf Moves From Flow to ImmutableX
The Web3 game from Warner Bros. Discovery Sports is the latest title to jump from Flow to the leading L2 for blockchain games, ImmutableX!
ImmutableX continues to tempt top Web3 games to its shores!
Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, the sports arm of the global entertainment company, has announced the move of their in-house developed Web3 mobile game Blocklete Golf from Flow to ImmutableX, thanks to an expanded partnership with the Immutable team.
Blocklete Golf sees players collect and train virtual golfers before teeing off in head-to-head matches or tournaments, set on dynamic courses, with other players.
Players manage their Web3 athletes, called “Blockletes”, to reach set goals through training and the tracking of in-game performance, allowing these virtual golfers to increase their attributes – directly affecting their utility and value.
Andrew Sorokovsky, VP of Global Business Development at Immutable, said:
“We’re honoured to be a partner and provider of the blockchain infrastructure for an innovator in the sports media landscape like Warner Bros. Discovery and Turner Sports. Their dedication to pushing the envelope and early adoption of web3 proves that decentralised solutions are on the fast track to mass adoption – offering millions of people new and exciting ways to interact with entertainment mediums while retaining full control over their digital assets.”
The extended partnership between Immutable and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports follows their recent launch of the interactive trivia and fan loyalty program Bleacher Report Watch-to-Earn, which made its primetime debut during the recent NBA All Star game on February 19.
Yang Adija, SVP Digital Operations and Innovation for Warner Bros. Discover Sport, added:
“Immutable has provided the backend technology for our newest Web3 offerings, and moving Blocklete Golf to their inclusive and efficient decentralised framework was a natural choice for us.”
