The Variance Genesis Void Collection NFT mint begins today, February 25th at 9pm UTC, offering Variance players a chance to acquire exclusive character cards that provide a range of in-game benefits plus a $VOID token airdrop allocation.
Initially planned for the Base network, the collection will now mint on the Ethereum blockchain with a reduced supply of 3,500 NFTs.
This collection is tied to the Variance web3 game, a free-to-play action roguelike developed by Realm Studios and integrated with the Treasure ecosystem.It features fast-paced combat and strategic gameplay as players explore dungeons, collect loot, and battle each other.
What is the Variance Genesis Void Collection NFT?
The Variance Genesis Void Collection offers holders collectible character NFTs that unlock a range of exclusive rewards like airdrops of exclusive skins, in-game items, and other NFTs.
Holders will also receive monthly rewards of in-game currency bundles, battle passes and DLCs, plus early access to new in-game features and content.
$VOID tokens will be allocated to NFT holders in an upcoming airdrop, with 10% of the total 1 billion supply reserved for them. These ecosystem tokens will power Void Protocol, a gameplay validation mechanism.
Regardless of the rarity of the card a player mints, developers have promised an equal allocation of $VOID to all holders. There will also be buybacks of the token based on the amount collected in battle pass revenue.
How will the mint work?
The first phase begins February 25th at 9pm UTC, granting OGs and Whitelisted users exclusive access and a guaranteed chance of minting an NFT.
OGs can mint Epic or higher rarity Variant NFTs for 0.029 ETH, while Whitelisted users can mint Genesis Portals for 0.033 ETH. Whitelist spots can be obtained through giveaways on Variance’s social media.
Phase 2,begins February 27th at 5PM UTC, granting public access to anyone wanting to mint a Genesis Portal for 0.033 ETH, or a maximum of two Variant NFTs.
Genesis Portal holders will receive Variant character cards over time leading up to the game’s global open beta. They will also receive 3% of the total $VOID token supply, equating to 8,333 $VOID tokens per Genesis Portal.
