Honig Studios, a Berlin-based development house behind indie titles such as spaghetti western stealth game El Hijo, has announced a partnership with ImmutableX, the leading gaming-focused blockchain, to launch The Lost Glitches – an upcoming NFT-powered trading card game.
Blending roleplay elements with TCG gameplay, The Lost Glitches aims to become a fun, immersive and replayable experience that ensures all players’ will have full ownership and control over the cards they collect, backed by the security and ease-of-trade blockchain provides, creating the ideal environment for a vibrant and active player base.
ImmutableX is already home to some of Web3’s most popular NFT-powered TCGs, including the critically-acclaimed Gods Unchained – which has its first seasonal card set dropping soon. The Lost Glitches will join Gods Unchained and a plethora of other quality TCG titles, bringing another top-draw trading card experience to IMX’s line-up.
Andrew Sorokovsky, VP of Global Business Development at ImmutableX, said:
“The demand for NFT trading card games on Immutable is exceptionally high at the moment. We’re delighted to be adding another high-quality title to our line up. We are not only able to offer the widest range of TCGs, but we can provide a premium experience for players, delivering a versatile, engaging, and rewarding ecosystem full of fun and entertainment.”
The Lost Glitches will boast a range of multiplayer modes, allowing players to compete against each other in fast-paced battles and strategic challenges. Players can craft their own decks, carefully selecting the cards and abilities that best suit their playstyle in real-time battles against other players.
Alexey Ivanov, Founder of The Lost Glitches, added:
“Beyond creating and immersing players in the unique and rich cyberpunk atmosphere of The Lost Glitches, we also want to make the education and onboarding of new players to Web3 a fun and easy-to-understand experience. This is why we’re excited to be partnering with IMX, a platform fully dedicated to gaming, as ImmutableX will help us to easily integrate these aspects.”
A limited-edition Booster Pack drop will be released later this month, with the game set for a desktop launch in Q1 2024, with mobile and console versions to follow.
Opinion
Partnerships between established game studios and blockchains are always exciting news for both industries, and this one is no different!
Even though The Lost Glitches is early in development, the art style, gameplay and customisation options we’ve seen so far are set to make it an exciting addition to the growing ImmutableX ecosystem – and it will no doubt make an impact once it’s available for play.
