Core Gameplay of ChronoForge
ChronoForge is a combination of fast-paced combat, crafting, and base-building.
Players face a range of enemies and traps within randomized dungeons, engaging in real-time, hack-and-slash battles. The dynamic environments change with every playthrough, keeping the experience fresh.
Teamwork is central to its gameplay, with various character roles, such as tanks, healers, and damage dealers, required to overcome increasingly challenging enemies.
Outside of the combat zones, players can build and manage bases through Trading Companies—player-operated hubs for gathering resources, crafting items, and upgrading equipment. Moreover, players can take part in a governance system that influences the game’s evolving world and economy.
NFTs and Economy
ChronoForge includes NFTs in its in-game economy, allowing players to mint characters, gear, and assets into tradable NFTs. However, this feature is completely optional.
Players can enjoy all aspects of the game without ever interacting with the web3 features. For those who opt in, minting in-game assets requires the $RIFT utility token.
These NFTs, which are carbon-neutral and minted on the Immutable X blockchain, include Genesis Adventurer NFTs, Support Airships, and Prospecting Deeds. These assets are tradeable on platforms like Immutable X and OpenSea.

- Genesis Adventurer NFTs: Playable characters with special in-game bonuses and faster progression.

At the heart of ChronoForge’s economy is the $RIFT token, which is used for crafting powerful items and minting NFTs.
The game’s economy is designed with sustainability in mind, using mechanisms to balance the production of in-game assets and prevent oversupply.
By completing achievements, players can convert their in-game items into NFTs by burning $RIFT tokens, ensuring that NFT production reflects player demand and item value.
Staking and Governance
Staking NFTs plays an important role in ChronoForge’s governance system.
Players can stake Genesis Adventurer NFTs, Support Airships, and Prospecting Deeds to earn $RIFT rewards and influence the game’s economy.
Staking these assets also allows players to participate in governance decisions, such as upgrading Trading Companies and managing resources. In addition, staking provides in-game benefits, such as reward multipliers based on the staked assets.
How to play ChronoForge?
ChronoForge’s full release is planned for 2024, with multiple beta phases preceding the launch.
The game will be available as a desktop download and players can gain early access by registering on the official website or by purchasing a Genesis Adventurer NFT from OpenSea, which grants access to public test builds.
