Wombat Dungeon Master Welcomes 37,000 New Players Ahead of Expansion
Spielworks’ signature game has closed its most successful season to date, welcoming 37,000 new players ahead of its upcoming expansion!
The team behind Wombat continues to rise!
Spielworks, a blockchain startup specialising in gaming and decentralised finance (DeFi) solutions, have wrapped up their 8th season of Wombat Dungeon Master.
37,000 new players joined the community across this season, which saw over 200,000 NFTs minted, ahead of the beta launch for Dungeon Worlds, an expansion scheduled for Q3 2023.
What is Wombat Dungeon Master?
Wombat Dungeon Master is a dungeon-themed “clicker”, where players stake NFTs in order to receive XP, in-game materials, and NFT rewards. To date, the game has seen 3 million sign-ups and 65,000 daily users, with the wider system counting 1.5 million staked NFTs.
With Dungeon Worlds, Spielworks expands the Wombat ecosystem by providing NFT staking opportunities. This puts to use the land and character NFTs that recently dropped on both WAX and Polygon, allowing players to don their equipment and gather a variety of materials.
Additional blockchains, including EOS and BNB Chain, are set to be added to the Wombat Dungeon Master experience in the near future.
Adrian Krion, Spielworks’s Co-Founder and CEO, said:
“As we creep closer to the Dungeon Worlds beta launch, we’re getting wonderful feedback from our dedicated community members following our recent land and character drops. Following the launch, we’re already working on a number of exciting game modes and features including cross-chain dungeon interoperability, a battle mode, clan wars, and more.”
